Neil Cormack
We also acknowledge the passing of long time member, Past President (1987) and Life Member, Neil Cormack. We acknowledge his involvement and service to the Seven Seas Club of Australia. When he was able to attend meetings he would read out his Nautical Notes which became an important part of the Club’s Dinner format. Neil’s encyclopedic knowledge of ships, especially sailing ships was unsurpassed. He wrote many books and papers, one of the best being on his fascination for the beautiful ship “Herzogin Cecilie”, a copy of which is in our Club Library.
